Southern Colorado’s business community is stronger when we act together.

The Southern Colorado Business Alliance (SCBA) is building durable political infrastructure to ensure our region has real influence at the Capitol — not just during election season, but year after year. Through a coordinated PAC and SoCo Action which is an Independent Expenditure Committee (IEC), SCBA helps elect pro-business, pro-growth leaders who understand Southern Colorado’s economy and communities.

There are two ways to participate.

Who Can Join

The Southern Colorado Business Alliance is designed to bring together Chambers of Commerce and the businesses they represent through clearly defined, complementary roles. Chambers of Commerce participate through the SCBA Political Action Committee (PAC), where they help guide endorsements, strategy, and regional coordination.

Businesses and corporations participate through Southern Colorado Action (SoCo Action), SCBA’s Independent Expenditure Committee (IEC), which supports independent advertising, voter engagement, and Get Out The Vote efforts. This dual-structure ensures compliance while maximizing impact — allowing Chambers to lead collaboratively and businesses of all sizes to invest directly in strengthening Southern Colorado’s voice in state-level elections.

Chamber of Commerce Participation (PAC)

Chambers participate directly through the SCBA PAC and play a central role in shaping endorsements and strategy.

Annual Commitment

Each participating Chamber of Commerce:

  • Contributes $1,000 annually

    • $500 to the PAC

    • $500 to the IEC

  • Mobilizes at least 50% of its members to contribute $50 or more

What This Pooled Funding Enables

  • Direct contributions to endorsed candidates through the PAC

  • Independent advertising, digital outreach, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts through the IEC

What Chambers Receive

  • Voting board seat on the SCBA

  • A direct voice in campaign strategy and endorsement decisions

  • Tools, messaging, and resources to activate their own members and communities

This model ensures decisions are locally informed and regionally aligned — not dictated from outside Southern Colorado.

Business Participation (IEC – SoCo Action)

Businesses and corporations participate through Southern Colorado Action (SoCo Action), SCBA’s Independent Expenditure Committee. This structure allows businesses of all sizes to engage with clarity, transparency, and impact.
